November 25, marked the closing ceremony of Badrinath Temple in the Garhwal region of Uttrakhand. Kedarnath temple had closed earlier on 23rd October and with the closure of Badrinath Dham, the entire char Dham circuit of Uttrakhand has closed for the pilgrims.
Over 5,000 devotees joined the rituals for the closing ceremony accompanied by devotional tunes performed by army band.
For the winter season, the paalki of Badrinath ji has come to its home at Narsingh Temple in Jyotirmath. While, Kedarnath ji will rest at Omkareeshwar Temple in Ukhimath. Ganga ji will be worshipped in Mukhba and Yamuna ji will reside at Kharsali.
The 4 temples will now open in summers of 2026, mostly by mid of April.
