Char Dham Yatra of Uttrakhand is a seasonal pilgrimage destination. The Char Dham Temples usually open from May to October. The opening and closing dates change every year. It is always better to plan for Char Dham yatra well in advance because of the limited time the area opens for its pilgrims.

Every year, the dates of opening of chardham Yatra in Uttarakhand is announced on the holy occasion of Vasant Panchali. After a long Pooja and discussion amongst the temple’s committee members, the date is decided. For the year 2025, the spiritual chardham Yatra will begin on 30th April.
Traditionally, the temples open on the holy occasion of Akshaya Tritya every year. This year Akshaya Tritya falls on 30th April. Hence, the Yamunotri temple and Gangotri temple will open on 30th April, 2025.
The opening date of Badrinath Dham ( temple ) has also been announced on Vasant Panchami ( 2nd February, 2025 ). This year the Badrinath temple will open on 4th May, 2025.
Last but not the least, The most anticipated news regarding the opening date of Kedarnath Temple is yet to be announced. The date will be announced on the holy occasion of Maha Shivratri which is on 26th February, 2025.

Yamunotri Dham is the adobe of goddess Yamuna. The Yamunotri temple is situated at the place where the river Yamuna originates. This temple is the first temple of the chota chard Dham circuit of Uttarakhand.
In the year 2025, the temple will open on the auspicious day of ‘ Akshaya Tritya ‘ which is on 30th April, 2025.
The temple will close on the festival of Diwali which falls on 20th October, 2025.
